J. J. Corry “The Hanson”

Tasting Notes:

  • Eye: Golden amber.
  • Nose: Bright and floral with a hint of deep oak.
  • Taste: Bright, green apples, toasted coconut continuing from the nose. The influence of fresh oak is clear: with rye grass developing to lemongrass.
  • Finish: A measure of salinity and minerality that makes it very moreish.

Additional Notes:

  • The Hanson is named after J. J. Corry’s one-in-law who was a revenue man in the early 1900s known locally in Cooraclare as “The Gauger Hanson.”
  • Blend of Irish Grain Whiskey from multiple distilleries.
  • Age profile is 5-11 years.
  • Matured in bourbon and American craft whiskey casks sourced from Kentucky, Tennessee, and New York.
  • Bottled at 46% ABV
